RRsat completes acquisition of Hawley Teleport in Pennsylvania

RRsat Global Communications Network Ltd. has completed the previously announced acquisition of the Hawley Teleport located in Pike County, Pennsylvania, USA, for approximately US$4.25 million (US$4 millions in cash and US$250,000 in services).

Key climate sensor restored to NPOESS

A sensor considered critical in monitoring global climate will be restored to the first satellite scheduled to fly in the National Polar-Orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System (NPOESS) top officials from the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), NASA, and the U.S. Air Force said.

ATK test fires space shuttle reusable solid rocket motor

Alliant Techsystems said it conducted a successful test firing of NASA’s space shuttle reusable solid rocket motor (RSRM) as part of continuous testing to improve performance and ensure safety of the space shuttle and to aid development of the first stage of Ares I.

NASA to launch GRAIL on Delta II in 2011
