The launch vehicle flew smoothly, and at about 16 minutes after lift-off, the separation of Ibuki was confirmed.

According to BuaNews, the date for the launch of the long-delayed SumbandilaSat science satellite has been set for 25 March aboard a Soyuz rocket that is also to carry the Meteor-M weather satellite.

NASA said it was a step closer to the first flight test of the rocket that will send humans on their way to the moon as part of the agency’s Constellation Program.
