Most Americans have either cable or satellite TV. When it comes to foreign language programming, satellite TV can offer much more than their cable television counterpart. Why? Because satellite TV companies have millions of subscribers, and the ability to negotiate deals worldwide with foreign language broadcasters.

Many individuals living in the United States today speak Spanish as their first language. If they had their choice, they would prefer to watch TV and be entertained in the Spanish language rather than English. That leads to an interesting dilemma, as many cable TV companies today only have a few Spanish networks on their channel lineup.

The European Space Agency (ESA) will begin building its operational constellation of Galileo navigation satellites beginning in 2010 with the use of two Arianespace Soyuz launch vehicles, each of which are to orbit a pair of spacecraft in missions performed from French Guiana.

ST-2 Satellite Ventures Pte Ltd (STS), a joint venture formed by Singapore Telecommunications Ltd (SingTel) and Chunghwa Telecom Company Ltd (Chunghwa), has chosen Arianespace to launch its new telecommunications satellite, ST-2.
