SES S.A. and Jersey, Channel Islands-based O3B Networks Limited (O3b) announced that SES has made a minority investment in O3b to support the development of O3b’s satellite-based, global Internet backbone designed to reach the “other three billion” people in the developing world who today do not have access to the Internet.

You cannot wonder is Satellite better than cable, when it is actually making the companies who operate cables insecure. This is definitely a much cheaper solution as you have to only pay a one time payment and get access to a large number of channels with it. There are soft wares available which will allow you to access more than 3000 channels via your satellite television.
