Preparations underway for the launch of Intelsat 15

Preparations are moving forward at the Baikonur Space Center in Kazakhstan for the fourth Land Launch mission, the first of a satellite for Intelsat, Ltd.

Final manoeuvre positions MESSENGER for Mercury orbit insertion

The Mercury-bound MESSENGER spacecraft completed its fifth and final deep-space manoeuvre of the mission, providing the expected velocity change needed to place the spacecraft on course to enter into orbit about Mercury in March 2011.

Bangladesh wants own telecommunication satellite

Bangladesh plans to launch a satellite for the development of the country’s telecommunications services, Post and Telecommunications Minister Raziuddin Ahmed Raju said.

Astel, SES World Skies keep Kazakh train commuters connected

SES World Skies announced Astel has tapped its NSS-6 satellite to deliver the first high-speed mobile broadband and phone services to train passengers travelling the busiest commuter rail in Kazakhstan.
