Does satellite TV really offer better programming than what is provided by local stations and basic cable? Many people ask this question because they want to know if satellite is worth the investment. The truth is that when satellite first appeared a few years ago, it couldn’t offer anything more than local stations and basic cable. Furthermore, the installation was expensive and time consuming. A few years ago, satellite TV was not worth the trouble. Today, however, satellite offers incredible programming at reasonable prices. For this reason, now, basic cable and local stations can’t offer anything close to what satellite can provide. Satellite is as good as it gets when it comes to home entertainment.

Everyone knows that when it comes to sporting events, local stations and basic cable don’t have much to offer. Local stations will only show us the games of our hometown teams. Though, much to our frustration, sometimes these games get blacked out if the home team doesn’t sellout the game. As for basic cable, this service rarely covers sporting events at all. If you are a die hard sports fan and are tired relying on local stations and basic cable, you should check out satellite TV.
