Lockheed Martin announced that it has achieved a key integrated test milestone on the second Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS) geosynchronous orbit (GEO-2) spacecraft at its facilities in Sunnyvale, California.

A loud explosion and ball of fire that people in central Mexico reported seeing in the sky on 10 February likely was not caused by a Russian spy satellite crashing back to Earth, as some media earlier reported.

Many people, including satellite installers here in Spain, get confused about Freeview and Freesat. You cannot receive Freeview in Spain, no matter what people say.

Watching baseball in the old days was something of a romantic scene. The family would be gathered around a static-filled screen, periodically adjusting the rabbit-ear antenna to get a better view of the action. Some of the great home run calls might be muffled by bad reception – let alone the picture – but in the end it was all worth it. When you look at the differences satellite TV made on watching the grand old game of baseball, it’s hard to consider the effects anything less than dramatic.
