Watching baseball in the old days was something of a romantic scene. The family would be gathered around a static-filled screen, periodically adjusting the rabbit-ear antenna to get a better view of the action. Some of the great home run calls might be muffled by bad reception – let alone the picture – but in the end it was all worth it. When you look at the differences satellite TV made on watching the grand old game of baseball, it’s hard to consider the effects anything less than dramatic.
