While the entire country moved away from analog to digital cable, it meant that people who were still watching television via rabbit ears had to decide whether it made more sense to get on board with traditional cable service, or to make the leap to the dish and satellite. Because technology can sometimes be overwhelming, the switch to dish might initially seem like more of a dog and pony show.
