EchoStar to acquire Satmex

EchoStar Satellite Services, L.L.C., a subsidiary of EchoStar Corporation, and Satelites Mexicanos, S.A. de C.V. announced an agreement pursuant to which EchoStar will acquire an ownership interest in Satmex.

Yahsat awarded satellite services licence

The United Arab Emirates’ Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has awarded Al Yah Satellite Communications Company (Yahsat) a 10-year satellite services licence.
