Inaugural Minotaur IV launch on 26 September (UTC)

Orbital Sciences Corporation said it is prepared to launch the first orbital mission of the Minotaur IV rocket in support of the Air Force’s Space Based Space Surveillance (SBSS) satellite, also known as SBSS Block 10.

NPP climate satellite passes pre-environmental review

The NASA National Polar-orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System (NPOESS) Preparatory Project (NPP) climate/weather satellite has successfully completed its Pre-Environmental Review (PER) at Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp’s production and test facility in Boulder, Colorado, and will begin flight environmental testing in the upcoming weeks.
