China’s second Chang’e probe on its way to the moon

Rocket: Chang Zheng 3C; Payload: Chang’e-2; Date: 1 October 2010, 1059 UTC; Launch Site: Xichang Satellite Launch Center, China. The moon prove was deployed into an orbit with a perigee of 200 kilometers and apogee of 380,000 kilometers as scheduled.

Last Molniya-M launches Russian early warning satellite

International partners update space station launch manifest

Proton M ascent unit integration started at Baikonur

Preparations are underway at Baikonur for the ninth Proton M launch of this year. In mid-October, this launch vehicle is to place Sirius XM-5 in geostationary orbit. The Space Systems/Loral-built Sirius XM-5 satellite was ordered by Sirius XM Radio.

SBIRS GIO ground system verification complete
