The first flight unit of the Swarm satellite trio was completed at Astrium in Friedrichshafen. The purpose of the Swarm mission is to analyse the geomagnetic field and its evolution over time. The trio of satellites are set for launch from Plesetsk in 2012.

A team of researchers and collaborators from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the University of Arizona’s College of Optical Sciences in Tucson has successfully conducted the first test flight of a prototype science instrument for a next-generation satellite mission to survey the impacts of aerosols and clouds on global climate change.

When you make the switch from standard definition television to high definition television, there are lots of little bonuses that come along with making the switch. One of these little bonuses is that television programs that use to look just “okay” in standard definition will often look great in high-definition. Many programs will look better. You might be shocked to find that many reality television programs looked significantly better in high definition, especially when they are coming from a high quality source such as satellite TV.
