In recent years, satellite television has rapidly become the favored home entertainment choice of a large percentage of the population. For a lot of these people, choosing satellite service over cable is an easy thing to do, except when it involves having to give up access to local channels. Just about everyone would agree that when it comes to overall programming, including access to national interest sporting events and news, premium movie channels, and even high definition channels, satellite is the obvious industry leader.
