Soyuz test completed in French Guiana

A dry-run exercise, which replicated a typical mission for a commercial telecommunications satellite payload, has been completed for the Soyuz-STB at the Guiana Space Centre.

STS-134 launch date pushed back again

NASA managers met Friday afternoon and determined space shuttle Endeavour will launch no earlier than Monday, 16 May at 1256 UTC. They also extended the length of Endeavour’s STS-134 mission to the International Space Station from 14 to 16 days.

Venezuela to order EO satellite from China

SSTL delivers groundstation equipment

As part of the Astrium-led Earth Observation (EO) Hub project at the International Space Innovation Centre (ISIC) in Harwell, Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL) has completed the installation of key groundstation equipment. The ISIC groundstation can be used to operate existing and future UK space missions.
