The U.S. General Accounting Office (GAO) issued a report on quality problems related to parts and manufacturing processes and materials for space and missile defence acquisitions across the Department of Defense and NASA. One of the results: a small piece of cloth stuck in a fuel line may be the reason for the problem that the first AEHF satellite experienced after launch.

The Russian astrophysical observatory Spektr-R, which had been launched from Baikonur on 18 July, is operating properly in orbit, Roskosmos said.
