Proton returns to flight with military satellite launch

Rocket: Proton M/Briz M; Payload: military satellite [likely designated Kosmos 2473]; Date: 20 September 2011, 2247 UTC; Launch site: Baikonur, Kazakhstan. The satellite, which was launched “in the interests of the ministry of defence,” separated from the upper stage without problems at 0748 UTC on 21 September, Roskosmos said.
