After delays, latest Japanese spy satellite launched

Rocket: H-2A/202; Payload: Information Gathering Satellite (IGS) Optical-4; Date: 23 September 2011, 0436 UTC; Launch site: Tanegashima Space Center, Japan. “The rocket was launched successfully and the satellite was separated into an orbit around the Earth later,” a JAXA official said.
