NASA’s decommissioned Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite (UARS) fell back to Earth between 0323 and 0509 UTC on Saturday, 24 September, 20 years and nine days after its launch on a 14-year mission that produced some of the first long-term records of chemicals in the atmosphere. During its last days, it also indirectly produced a media frenzy, a Twitter hoax, dubious sighting reports, even more dubious damage claims and (of course) theories of a U.S. government cover-up.Other Posts:Exmar Shipmanagement Chooses SeaWave IntegratorVisit the World From Your Living Room With Satellite TVMany Shows Are Greatly Improved in High-DefinitionThe Possibility Of Promoting A Cable TV Deal To The InternetFCC approves Orbcomm’s next-generation constellationCOM DEV International Ltd. results Q3 2010Com Dev expands plantNew date for Ariane 5 launch with Yahsat Y1A, New Dawn
