Sea Launch on track to loft Intelsat 27

Sea Launch AG, through Energia Logistics Ltd., has conducted a Hardware Acceptance Review of the Zenit-2S launch vehicle to be utilised in support of the Intelsat 27 mission. A team of specialists from the Chief System Engineer’s Office at Energia Logistics Ltd., together with specialists from RSC Energia, reviewed all of the acceptance data for the Zenit-2S #SL 36 vehicle and found that all required acceptance test values were within specification.

SpaceX transitions to third commercial crew phase with NASA

Second AEHF satellite successfully completes on-orbit testing

The U.S. Air Force Space Command Space and Missile Systems Center’s second Advanced Extremely High Frequency military communications satellite successfully completed its on-orbit testing on 24 September.

Eutelsat to lease RSCC capacity on two new satellites

The Russian Satellite Communication Company (RSCC) and Eutelsat Communications announced an agreement whereby Eutelsat will lease capacity for broadcasting and IP services on two RSCC satellites to be launched in 2013 and 2015. The contracts for Eutelsat’s two 15-year leases are valued at approximately EUR300 million.

MDA to provide ground station solution for U.S. Air Force program

MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. has signed a multi-million dollar contract with DigitalGlobe, Inc. to develop a solution to allow two of the U.S. Air Force’s (USAF) mobile ground systems, called Eagle Vision, to receive and process imagery from WorldView-1 and WorldView-2 satellites.
