Skynet 5D delivered to launch site

The fourth spacecraft to be orbited by Arianespace for the Skynet 5 military satellite constellation has been delivered to French Guiana, moving preparations into a new phase for a mid-December dual-passenger Ariane 5 mission, the seventh in 2012.

NASA’s Kepler completes prime mission, begins extended mission

NASA is marking two milestones in the search for planets like Earth — the successful completion of the Kepler Space Telescope’s 3 1/2- year prime mission and the beginning of an extended mission that could last as long as four years.

OHB Sweden wins AOCS and CPS contracts for Solar Orbiter

OHB Sweden, a subsidiary of the European space and technology group OHB, has been selected by Astrium as contractor for the Attitude and Orbit Control System (AOCS) and the Chemical Propulsion System (CPS) for the Solar Orbiter mission that will perform close-up observations of the Sun. Both contracts have a total volume of EUR34,4 million.

Ball Aerospace Wins S-Band phased array demo for NASA Space Launch System
