Delay of the day: SARAL

The launch of the Indo-French SARAL satellite, previously scheduled for 12 December, has been postponed until next year. The spacecraft, designed to study ocean parameters, is to fly aboard the PSLV-C20.

ISS-Reshetnev to build Geo-IK-2 satellite

Academician M.F. Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems has been awarded a contract for the manufacture of Geo-IK-2, a new geodetic spacecraft.

Khrunichev completes Nauka space station module

Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center has completed assembly of the Nauka (“Science”) multirole laboratory module (MLM) for the International Space Station. The module will now be tested by S. P. Korolev RSC Energia .

SpeedCast Ltd Completes Buyout of Australian Satellite Communications

Hong Kong-based network and satellite communications service provider SpeedCast Ltd, together with its majority shareholder, private equity firm TA Associates, has completed a buyout of Australian Satellite Communications Pty Ltd (ASC).
