The Scientific Research Institute for Long-Distance Radio Communications (NIIDAR, part of the RTI Systems Group) has developed a radar system of space measurements to ensure the safe launch and operation of satellites in orbit.

Flight paths for launches of OneWeb communication satellites from the Baikonur space port will be improved to increase the number of spacecraft launched at a time, the Russian state space corporation Roskosmos said.

Rocket: Soyuz-2.1b; Payload: 34 OneWeb satellites; Date: 22 August 2021, 0013 UTC; Launch site: Baikonur, Kazakhstan. The mission lasted three hours and 45 minutes. The 34 satellites have been separated, during nine separation sequences, at an altitude of 450 km.

Rocket: Chang Zheng 4B; Payload: two Tianhui 2-02 satellites; Date: 18 August 2021, 2232 UTC; Launch site: Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, China. The radar mapping satellites were deployed into approx. 500 km x 520 km x 97.45 degrees Sun-synchronous orbit.

The mission lasted one hour, 44 minutes and 59 seconds during which Pléiades Neo 4 separated on a Sun-synchronous orbit at an altitude of 625 km while the four auxiliary payloads separated at 551 kilometers.
