Sea Launch lofts Galaxy 18 for Intelsat

Rocket: Zenit 3SL/Block DM-SL; Payload: Galaxy 18; Date: 21 May, 0943 UTC; Site: Odyssey Launch Platform, positioned on the equator at 154 degrees West Longitude in the Pacific Ocean. All systems performed nominally throughout the mission, and the first launch of a satellite for Intelsat in 2008 was successfully completed.

Yahsat to raise US$1.2 billion for satellite financing

Al Yah Satellite Communications company PrJsc (Yahsat), the UAE’s first nationally-owned satellite operator and wholly-owned subsidiary of Mubadala Development Company, is approaching the financial market to raise US$1.2 billion to finance its satellite communications system.

Jason-2 getting ready for launch, fuelling milestone met
