PSLV brings Indian probe on its way to the moon

Rocket: PSLV; Payload: Chandrayaan-1; Date: 22 October, 0052 UTC; Site: Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, India. The Indian Space Research Organisation’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle, PSLV-C11, successfully launched the 1,380 kg Chandrayaan-1 moon probe into a 255 km x 22,860 km x 17.9 degrees transfer orbit.
