Iran successfully launches microsatellite

Rocket: Safir 2; Payload: Omid; Date: 2 February 2008, 1830 UTC (estimated); Site: undisclosed, Iran. The launch resulted in two trackable objects in orbit, likely the Omid satellite and the rocket’s upper stage.
