It may be something meaningless and silly, like the fact that he or she was served a bigger piece of cake than you at a mutual acquaintance’s birthday party, or something a bit more serious, such as feeling the sting of jealousy because he or she was given a promotion or work, bought a new sports car, or flat out won the lottery (and won’t share with you!).
