Who Knew There Were So Many Satellite Sports Packages?

If you’re the ultimate fan and you don’t have satellite TV, your true fan status just dropped down a notch or two. With cable, you don’t get nearly the amount of channels. Sure, you’re able to catch the big games, especially those of area teams. But, what about if you are a Washington Nationals fan living in San Francisco? Proton/Briz-M launches latest Intelsat satellite

Rocket: Proton M/Briz M; Payload: Intelsat 16; Date: 12 February 2010, 0039 UTC; Launch site: Baikonur, Kazakhstan. After a 9 hour 34 minute mission, the Briz M successfully released Intelsat 16 satellite into a near geostationary orbit.

Arianespace to launch Athena-Fidus satellite

Arianespace has been chosen to launch the French-Italian Athena-Fidus dual use satellite, within the scope of a contract signed by Thales Alenia Space and Telespazio and the French and Italian space agencies, CNES and ASI.

First Russian launch from French Guiana delayed again

Pratt & Whitney tests new engine for Delta IV
