SS/L to build Telesat’s multi-purpose Anik G1

Space Systems/Loral (SS/L) has been selected to provide the Anik G1 satellite to Telesat. The satellite is a multi-mission spacecraft that supports a variety of applications including direct-to-home (DTH) television broadcasting in Canada; government requirements over the Americas and the Pacific; and broadband, voice, data and video services in South America.

Orbital announces AzerSpace-1/Africasat-1a contract

Orbital Sciences Corporation announced that it has signed a contract with International Relations and Accounting Center of The Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies (Ministry) of the Republic of Azerbaijan to design, build and deliver the AzerSpace-1/Africasat-1a commercial communications satellite.

SSC and KARI sign contract for S-band service

The Korean Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) and Swedish Space Corporation (SSC) have signed a contract for SSC to provide S-band ranging service to KARI for the satellite mission COMS-1 (Communications, Ocean and Meteorological Satellite).
