Aerojet announced that it has signed an agreement with NEC Corporation to jointly supply Hayabusa-derived ion propulsion systems for the U.S. and Japanese aerospace markets.

General Dynamics C4 Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics , has been awarded a seven-year contract by NASA Goddard Space Flight Center for the Space Network Ground Segment Sustainment (SGSS) project.

The Council of the European Space Agency announced that Jean-Jacques Dordain will continue as the Director General of ESA for a further period of four years. Mr Dordain has served as Director General of ESA since 2003. This third mandate extends his term to June 2015.
