Rocket: Ariane 5 ECA; Payload: Arabsat-5A, COMS [Communication, Ocean and Meteorological Satellite]; Date: 26 June 2010, 2141 UTC; Launch Site: Kourou, French Guiana. Arabsat-5A was deployed first during the flight sequence at 26 minutes into the mission. The COMS satellite was separated from Ariane 5 at 32 minutes into the flight.

Arianespace said it decided to postpone the launch of Arabsat 5A and COMS aboard an Ariane 5 ECA owing to a launch vehicle pressurisation anomaly on the main cryogenic stage during final countdown operations.
