Harris Corporation announced that Lockheed Martin Space Systems company (LMSSC) will use its OS/COMET telemetry, tracking, and command software for the Orion Program’s Telemetry System to serve NASA’s new Orion crew exploration vehicle.

A company backed by the Permira funds, along with the Asia Broadcast Satellite (ABS) management team, has reached an agreement to acquire Kingsbridge Limited, the holding company for ABS. The Permira funds will become the majority shareholder of ABS.

For many years, television viewers were accustomed to putting up their antennas to receive signals from their local television stations. This allowed them to watch a limited number of programs provided by their local stations. As technology advanced, along came satellite TV and what a difference it has made to home entertainment.
