Sure, it might feel as though being single is its own stigma, and that living without a boyfriend or girlfriend is somehow less fulfilling than having someone to share a life with. But if the world of cinema and television has taught Americans anything, it should be that sometimes, the grass isn’t actually greener. And nothing can be better for soothing a bad breakup or simply encouraging those who are flying solo that it’s alright to be doing so than a peek at what happens to be on television. After all, a large number of the films airing on satellite tv any given date night are less about how great it is to find that special someone, and more about how incredibly frustrating it is to realize that you’ve actually managed to pick a dud.
