TCS to deliver satcom infrastructure, services to U.S. Navy

TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. has been named as the sole awardee on an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract for Military Sealift Command’s Next Generation Wideband commercial satellite communications infrastructure and service.

XTAR awarded bandwidth contract from Intelsat General

XTAR has been awarded a bandwidth contract from Intelsat General Corporation. The contract calls for XTAR to provide Intelsat General with 16MHz of high power X-band services from its XTAR-LANT satellite stationed over the Atlantic Ocean.

“Kounotori” chosen as nickname for second HTV

The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) conducted a nickname campaign for the H-II Transfer Vehicle (HTV), a cargo transporter to the International Space Station (ISS) to familiarise people with the HTV. The result has now been announced.

NASCAR HotPass in DirecTV

Vinci engine tested with extended nozzle
