Russia launches space-based radio telescope

Rocket: Zenit-3M/Fregat-SB; Payload: Spektr-R; Date: 18 July 2011, 0231 UTC; Launch site: Baikonur, Kazakhstan. The scientific spacecraft successfully separated from the Fregat-SB upper stage at 0606 UTC. Spektr-R was injected into orbit with altitude of about 340,000 km.
