Vega success paves way for Sentinel launches

Yesterday’s successful maiden flight of ESA’s new Vega rocket from Europe’s Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana, opens a new set of launch services – including two of the Sentinel satellites for GMES.

ViaSat-1 begins commercial service

Telesat said that ViaSat-1, a powerful Ka -band satellite which is significantly expanding the quality and availability of high speed broadband for rural Canadians, has begun commercial service .

NASA announces third round of CubeSat space mission candidates

Gilat selected by O3b for supply of Ka-band ground infrastructure

Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. announced that it has signed an agreement with O3b Networks Limited, the developer of a new high-speed, low-latency satellite-based service for telecommunication operators and enterprises in emerging markets, for the development and supply of Ka-band infrastructure for O3b’s VSAT services.
