Telefonica SA said it will sell its stake in satellite company Hispasat SA for EUR124 million (US$164 million) to Abertis Telecom as Spain’s biggest phone operator disposes of assets to reduce debt.

ViaSat Inc. announced it has served a complaint for patent infringement and breach of contract against Space Systems/Loral and Loral Space & Communications related to the unauthorised use of ViaSat’s intellectual property, including technology ViaSat developed for its ViaSat-1 satellite.

GMV announced a contract with Loral to provide the flight dynamics system and the payload transponder management system for the Thor 7 telecommunications satellite.
