First instrument delivered for Jupiter Icy Moon Explorer

The first instrument to fly on ESA’s Jupiter Icy Moon Explorer, or JUICE, has been delivered for integration onto the spacecraft this month. The ultraviolet spectrograph, or UVS for short, pictured in this photo while being prepared before shipping, was designed and built by Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas, USA.

DMSP satellite decommissioned after 22 years of service

On 11 February. after more than 22 years of providing weather data to the U.S. and its allies, Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) Flight 14 was decommissioned after completing 118,052 orbits of the Earth.

EGNOS payload enters service on Eutelsat 5 West B

Kleos Scouting Mission satellites dispatched to India for Launch

JCSAT-17/GEO-KOMPSAT-2B pre-launch details

For its third flight of 2020, Arianespace will orbit two satellites using an Ariane 5 launch vehicle from the Guiana Space Center: JCSAT-17 for the Japanese operator Sky Perfect JSAT Corporation; and GEO-KOMPSAT-2B for Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI).
