TDO-2 to be launched alongside AEHF-6

The U.S. Air Force’s Space and Missile Systems Center’s Launch Enterprise Mission Manifest Office delivered a fully tested and integrated multi-manifest small satellite vehicle, known as TDO-2, to Cape Canaveral Air Force Station for launch on the Advance Extremely High Frequency (AEHF)-6 mission.

DARPA selects SpaceLogistics as partner for robotic servicing

SpaceLogistics LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Northrop Grumman Corporation has been selected by the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) as its commercial partner for the agency’s Robotic Servicing of Geosynchronous Satellites (RSGS) programme.

NOAA’s DSCOVR satellite is operating again

Kratos to build space radio monitoring system

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. announced that it was awarded an $11.5 million contract to build an advanced space radio monitoring system for a U.S. government customer. The company said the system will incorporate Kratos technologies and integrated products to help the country regulate and protect the satellite spectrum. The customer was not disclosed.

NASA selects new instrument to continue key climate record

NASA has selected a new space-based instrument to maintain the 40-year data record of the balance between the solar radiation entering Earth’s atmosphere and the amount absorbed, reflected, and emitted. The new research instrument will fly on NOAA’s operational Joint Polar Satellite System-3 (JPSS-3) satellite, which is scheduled to launch by December 2027.

Mission Extension Vehicle docks with Intelsat 901 satellite

Northrop Grumman Corporation and the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, SpaceLogistics LLC, have successfully completed the first docking of the Mission Extension Vehicle-1 (MEV-1) to the Intelsat 901 (IS-901) spacecraft in order to provide life-extension services.
