TDRS-1 completes 25 years in orbit

The first of six Tracking and Data Relay Satellite (TDRS) system spacecraft built by Northrop Grumman Corporation completed 25 years of successful on-orbit operations on 4 April.

Auditing company has doubts over WorldSpace

EADS Astrium signs agreement to acquire SSTL

USAF, Lockheed check out another GPS satellite

A combined U.S. Air Force/Lockheed Martin team has completed a rapid on-orbit deployment of the modernised Global Positioning System Block IIR (GPS IIR-M) satellite launched on 15 March from Cape Canaveral.

GIOVE-B launch scheduled for end of April

GIOVE-B, the second experimental satellite for the Galileo satellite navigation system will be launched aboard a Soyuz rocket from Kazakhstan on 27 April after a year-long delay, the European Commission announced. Also, EU transport ministers have reached a compromise on the management of the system.
