WorldSpace Satellite Radio said its wholly owned subsidiary, WorldSpace Europe, received approval from Germany’s Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) to use 12.5 MHz of spectrum in the L-band (1479.5 – 1492 MHz) on a country-wide basis for the operation of a terrestrial repeater network in Germany. Also, the company apparently has eventually given up plans to launch its third satellite.

NASA is preparing to send a small spacecraft called the Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer (LADEE) to the moon in 2011 to assess the lunar atmosphere and the nature of dust lofted above the surface.
