MTN books NSS-12 capacity

MTN Satellite Services has signed a multi-year capacity agreement with SES Americom-New Skies. MTN, a SeaMobile company, provides satellite communications services to the maritime industry and remote locations around the world.

SES renames, repositions controversial pay-TV platform

SES Astra said it has closed a contract with ProSiebenSat1 Media AG for its German group of channels, German Free TV Group, for the transmission of three free TV programmes in High Definition (HD). According to local reports, this contract is part of SES Astra’s (so far unsuccessful) attempt to set up a de-facto pay-TV platform.
