Solaris Mobile files insurance claim for S-band payload

Solaris Mobile and its shareholders, Eutelsat Communications and SES Astra, have announced that the investigation of its S-band payload has confirmed significant non-compliance from its original specifications.

Financing for next-gen Globalstar constellation complete

SES Astra signs long-term contract with BSkyB

SES Astra said it has renewed contracts with BSkyB (Sky) for 24 transponders on a long-term basis on Astra’s 28.2 degrees East orbital position. In total Sky is using 31 transponders on the Astra satellite system.

DigitalGlobe’s new spy satellite set for launch on 6 October

DigitalGlobe announced that its WorldView-2 high-resolution eight-band multi-spectral satellite is scheduled to launch aboard a Delta II on 6 October 2009 from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.

Turkey soon to order new communications satellite
