ISAS brings radiation hardening to consumer chips

The Institute of Space and Astronautical Science (ISAS) of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) has, for the first time in the world, established a technological foundation to flexibly design and manufacture logic ICs with very high radiation tolerance at a low cost, the agency said.

Astrium integrates Spot Image and Infoterra into new division

Satellite imagery and geo-information specialists Spot Image and Infoterra, subsidiaries of Astrium Services, will combine forces to form its new GEO-Information business division in January 2011, when a single operational management structure will be implemented.
