The payload processing for Arianespace’s year-ending dual-payload Ariane 5 flight is continuing. Lift-off is scheduled for 28 December within a launch window that extends from 2126 to 2215 UTC.

The launch of Eutelsat’s KA-SAT aboard a Proton M/Briz M has been rescheduled for 26 December 2010, 2151 UTC. It will be the 12th and final Proton launch in 2010, and the eighth this year under the auspices of International Launch Services.

On Friday, 17 December, Intelsat’s Galaxy 15 [a.k.a. ZombieSat] temporarily lost Earth lock, and within a few hours, lost enough power to cause its C- and L-band payload to shut down.

A lot of people don’t realize just how far home entertainment has come these days.
