HBO, also known as the Home Box Office, has been one of the longest standing cable channels on television. It has been around since 1972 and it has managed to not only to stay relevant in today’s home entertainment market, but it is also still extremely popular. Year after year it has produced new and original shows, as well as supported up and coming filmmakers with many of its independent film projects. It is a reliable cable network channel that has maintained popularity and kept innovating over the years. With the advent of satellite tv it has also expanded to have offshoot channels to allow for even more content to be broadcast.

Diana, Princess of Wales, was one of the world’s biggest celebrities when her life came to an untimely end in 1997, after her car crashed into a tunnel wall while fleeing the paparazzi in Paris. After her shocking death, the worldwide love and support for her grew ever stronger, and she went from being a living person of fascination to almost a martyr in her quest for peace around the world. The song that Elton John wrote for her, “Candle in the Wind”, became one of the biggest selling singles of all time. Memorial concerts were head, broadcasting all over England and the U.S. via satellite TV; public mourning was worldwide.
