GSLV-F06 breaks up less than a minute after lift-off

The launch of the Indian communications satellite GSAT-5P (INSAT 4D) ended in failure when its GSLV-Fo6 carrier rocket veered off course and started disintegrating shortly after lift-off.

Delay of the day: Zenit-2SB/Elektro-L

Russia has postponed the launch of its Elektro-L meteorological satellite to January 2011. The launch was originally planned for 25 December 2010.
