Not long ago, cable TV was synonymous with quality home entertainment. It was the first major contender on the scene and it accomplished a lot in the early days of the subscription-based television programming revolution. Then along came satellite TV to rain on cable’s parade. Slowly but surely, satellite has risen in the ranks to become the home entertainment option of choice for people that want the very best content at the very lowest prices. If cable has any hope of leveling the playing field, it’s going to have to make quite a few changes. The question is though: can you teach an old dog new tricks?

There are contradicting reports regarding the possible cause of the GSLV-F06 launch failure. While it is undisputed that some connectors snapped and disabled flight control for the first stage, this was not likely the root cause for the mishap.

Commercial Advertisement Loudness Mitigation / CALM: The act will regulate digital television including, cable operator and multichannel video programming distributor’s which has raised the eyebrows of some advertisers. The difference between the sound levels of an ordinary television show and a commercial advertising, also known as a commercial, has been a main stay for more than half a century, yet until now the loudness of a commercial has not been established.
