GISAT-1 launch set for 5 March

ISRO’s Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV-F10) will launch the Geo Imaging Satellite (GISAT-1) from the Second Launch Pad of Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota. The launch is tentatively scheduled at 1213 UTC on 5 March 2020, subject to weather conditions.

First instrument delivered for Jupiter Icy Moon Explorer

The first instrument to fly on ESA’s Jupiter Icy Moon Explorer, or JUICE, has been delivered for integration onto the spacecraft this month. The ultraviolet spectrograph, or UVS for short, pictured in this photo while being prepared before shipping, was designed and built by Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas, USA.

DMSP satellite decommissioned after 22 years of service

On 11 February. after more than 22 years of providing weather data to the U.S. and its allies, Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) Flight 14 was decommissioned after completing 118,052 orbits of the Earth.

Kleos Space secures EUR3.1 million loan agreement

Kleos Space S.A, a space-powered Radio Frequency Reconnaissance data-as-a-service (DaaS) company, headquartered in Luxembourg, secured a EUR3.1 million loan agreement with Dubai-based family office Winance to progress its commercialisation plans and repay the extant convertible note. Winance will further provide optional EUR6.0 million through a convertible note agreement, subject to final documentation.
