Orbit Fab and Phase Four to collaborate on in-orbit refuelling

Phase Four, the creator of the radio-frequency thruster for satellite propulsion, announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Orbit Fab. The companies seek to ensure that future Phase Four Maxwell engines may be refuelled in-orbit to extend mission lifetimes and maximise ROI for spacecraft.

NASA’s Swift Observatory in safe mode

On the evening of Tuesday, 18 January, NASA’s Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory entered into safe mode, suspending pointed science observations. The mission team is investigating a possible failure of one of the spacecraft’s reaction wheels as the cause.

Chinese satellite almost hit by Russian ASAT test debris

Proba-3 programme makes progress

Airbus platforms for EarthDaily Analytics’ constellation

Loft Orbital orders more than fifteen Arrow satellite platforms from Airbus

Airbus has been contracted to supply space start-up Loft Orbital with more than fifteen satellite platforms derived from the Airbus Arrow platform. Arrow is the foundational satellite platform of the OneWeb constellation.

Thales Alenia Space to build Intelsat 41 and Intelsat 44

Thales Alenia Space has signed a contract with Intelsat to deliver two Space Inspire software defined satellites, Intelsat 41 (IS-41) and Intelsat 44 (IS-44).
